Day 1 :Delhi

Delhi (Arrival)
On arrival at Delhi airport. You will be assist by our representative and transfer to the hotel for check in. (Check in time at the hotel is 1400 hrs.)
Delhi- is a city that bridges two different worlds. Old Delhi, once the capital of Islamic India, is a labyrinth of narrow lanes lined with crumbling havelis and formidable mosques. In contrast, the imperial city of New Delhi created by the British Raj is composed of spacious, tree-lined avenues and imposing government buildings. Delhi has been the seat of power for several rulers and many empires for about a millennium. In Delhi, you will discover that the city is sprinkled with dazzling gems: captivating ancient monuments, fascinating museums and art galleries, architectural wonders, a vivacious performing-arts scene, fabulous eating places and bustling markets.

Rest of the day is free for leisure.

Day 2 :Delhi

Delhi (Full day guided sightseeing)
After breakfast proceed for guided sightseeing tour to old & New Delhi, Visiting the great Jama Masjid, Later we walk down to reach Red Fort (Closed on Monday), built in the year 1648 by Shah Jehan. The private apartments consist of a row of pavilions connected by a continuous water channel, known as the Nahr-i-Behisht (Stream of Paradise).

In New Delhi, we visit Raj Ghat, Further we drive past India Gate, President's House & Parliament House.
We will also visit Humayun's Tomb - This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal. Qutub Minar - Built in the early 13th century a few kilometres south of Delhi, the red sandstone tower of Qutb Minar is 72.5 m high, tapering from 2.75 m in diameter at its peak to 14.32 m at its base, and alternating angular and rounded flutings. Lotus temple-is among the most visited monuments in India. The Temple is located at Kalkaji in Delhi. The temple has no restrictions for visitors and is open to people from all religions. The temple has attracted over 51 million people since its opening in 1986.
The Lotus Temple- designed by Persian architect Fariborz Sahba who was presented the award for excellence in religious art and architecture by the UK based institution of structural engineers for the Temple.

Day 3 :Jaipur

Delhi - Jaipur (262km - 5hr)
After breakfast drive to Jaipur, popularly known as Pink City, the flamboyant & colourful capital of Rajasthan. With its rich & colourful past, resplendent with tales of valour & bravery, it is now one of the most important heritage cities in India. The city was founded in the year 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber. It remains the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe, through nine rectangular sectors.

On arrival check in to the hotel, rest of the day free for leisure.

At evening optional - Excursion to Chokhi Dhani is a full fledged, completely stuffed package of the cultural and traditional reflection of the region. The splendor and the concept make sure that it falls in line with a real village setup. Enjoy countryside games, traditional folk songs, magic shows as well as puppet shows & Rajasthani dinner.

Day 4 :Jaipur

Jaipur (Full Day Guided Tour)
After breakfast proceed for an excursion to Amber Fort, the palace complex which stands to this date was commenced under the reign of Raja Man Singh. We take an Elephant or jeep ride to reach the Fort situated on the hill, an overwhelming experience.

Later we visit the City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. The center of the palace is a seven-storied building called Chandra Palace, with fine views over the gardens & the city. Further we visit Jantar Mantar (Solar Observatory), an astronomical treasure house, with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date. We also visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-storied structure of pink sandstone. It was built in the year 1799 so that veiled royal women could peer down the busy street market unseen by the world through its 593 stone Jharokas (mini windows).

Evening enjoy a GEM-CUTTING & POLISHING demonstration as Jaipur is one of the world's most noted gem producers.

Day 5 :Agra

Jaipur - Agra via Fatehpur Sikri (260km - 6hr)
Today we drive to Agra, en route we will visit Fatehpur Sikri (Ghost Capital), the political capital of India's Mughal Empire under Akbar's reign, from the year 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned, ostensibly due to lack of water. We visit Emperor Akbar's Residential complex, Mosque & Tomb of Salim Chisti.

After visit we continue our drive to Agra, beautifully situated on the banks of river Yamuna. It achieved prominence as the capital of the Mughal Emperors from the year 1526 to 1628, remains major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era monuments, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort & Fatehpur Sikri, all three are UNESCO World Heritage sites.

On arrival check in at the hotel. At evening enjoy Tonga ride and visit marbal factory for demonstration of Inlay on Marble

Optional - Mohabbat-the-Taj is one of the most interesting and mesmerizing play that depicts the famous tale of Love. The Drama tells us the story of true and eternal love of Mughal Emporer Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal.

The main attractions of this show are the fascinating performances of various artists which will take you back to the 16th centuary. The model similar to the Taj is also one of the major attractions of this Theatre. The model is built on a 12x12 feet platform having 10 feet height and constructed using the pure white Makarana Marble which is filled with real semi-precious stones

Day 6 :Amritsar

Early morning enjoy sunrise visit of Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday), one of the Wonders of the World. Taj Mahal stands in its splendor of white marble, an imposing citadel on the banks of river Yamuna. Built in 17th century by Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor, in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is an ode to the emperor's eternal love for his wife. It took over 20,000 skilled workers from across the country, working day and night, for 22 years for this architectural wonder to be created.

Return to hotel for breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to visit Agra Fort, built in red sand stone, it is the one of the famous sights of Agra other than Taj Mahal. The semi circular fort was started by Akbhar in 1565, and completed in 1574.

Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb, built by Nur Jahan between 1622 and 1628. It belongs to the father of Nur Jahan, Ghiyas-ud-Din Beg. He was the Wajir (Chief Minister of Emperor Jehangir). This white marble tomb was. This tomb was the first complete marble Mughal structure.

Further drive to Delhi you break the journey at Sikandara, Akbar's tomb. His son Jahangir completed the construction of the tomb in the year 1613.

Later continue drive to Delhi, upon arrival in Delhi transfer straight to airport for board flight Amritsar.

The Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das, founded Amritsar, meaning 'a pool of nectar'. It has grown from a sacred village pond into a spiritual temporal centre of Sikh culture. Amritsar is the soul of Punjab and today it is India's important distribution centre of dry-fruits. It is one of the most ancient and fascinating cities of India. It is also the city where Jallianwala Bagh, the garden where scores of innocent Indian people were massacred by the British. Amritsar is an institution by itself.

On arrival at Amritsar, pick up from airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 7 :Amritsar

Golden temple Amritsar - Located in the heart of the city is the Golden Temple, the most visited tourist attraction of Amritsar. Characterised by its four entrance doors (called deoris) in all four directions and the tastefully decorated shrines, in terms of art and architecture, the Golden Temple welcomes everyone regardless of the religion or faith one follows. The stunning sanctum, shimmering in the water of the holy tank, flanked by spotlessly clean marble walkways and pavements makes it breathtakingly beautiful.

Jalianwala Bagh Amritsar - A historical monument that tells the sad story of mass killing during the independence movement in India, Jalianwallah Bagh is another must visit in Amritsar. Here lies the memorial of the martyrs of the 1919 massacre by British General Dyer. Presently the place also has a park. The Martyr’s Gallery is open from 9 am to 5 pm in summers and from 10 am to 4 pm during winters.

Baba Atal Rai Tower Amritsar - Located at a distance of few kilometres from the main town, Baba Atal Rai Tower is also a site worth visiting. It is believed that Guru Har Gobind died at this spot. Named after the son of Guru Har Gobind, this nine storied building is an important landmark of the place. Climbing on to the top gives you a panoramic view of the entire area. The first floor of the tower houses some of the miniatures related to Guru Nanak’s life and his preaching.

Durgiana Mandir Amritsar - Amritsar also houses a wonderful temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. Easily accessible from the Golden Temple, the Durgiana Mandir also offers puja to deities of Lakshmi and Narayana.
Supposedly built during the 16th century AD, the temple lies in the middle of a medium sized lake giving it a wonderful overall view. The temple, a massive structure, was built on the style of the nearby Golden Temple.

At evening enjoy change of guards ceremony at Wagha Border (Indo-Pakistan border). Wagah border is 28 kms. from Amritsar and the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. It's an interesting experience especially at sunset when the 'Retreat' ceremony takes place with the Border Security Force on the Indian Side of the Border. The changing of the guards and the ceremonial lowering of the flags ceremony is carried out with great pomp.

Later return to your hotel in Amritsar.

Day 8 :Delhi

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive through the spice market of Amritsar before your final departure to airport to board the flight for Delhi and further connect the flight for onward destination.
